南瓜泥,將橙肉南瓜蒸軟後壓成細滑泥糊的單一材料嬰兒輔食。
取一塊南瓜,做泥宜選橙肉的南瓜。去掉南瓜籽和較大的粗纖維。
Take a piece of pumpkin — orange-fleshed varieties work best for purée. Scoop out the seeds and remove any large stringy fibres.
去皮。
Peel off the skin.
切成薄片,這樣蒸熟得快,節省時間。
Slice thinly so it steams through quickly and saves time.
放入燉鍋蒸約15分鐘。
Steam in a pot for about 15 minutes.
蒸好的南瓜用筷子能輕易插透即成;若仍較硬,可關火後焗一會。
The pumpkin is done when a chopstick pierces through easily; if it is still firm, turn off the heat and let it sit covered for a while.
裝入保鮮袋(用兩個袋套在一起較好,單一個太薄,之後容易破)。
Transfer to a resealable bag (double up two bags — a single one is too thin and tears easily).
用麵棍反覆擀壓,最後再用手捏一下,感覺一下還有沒有粗粒。
Roll over the bag repeatedly with a rolling pin, then feel it with your hands to check for any remaining coarse lumps.
若給剛開始吃輔食的小BB食用,最好再用紗布或篩網過濾一次;南瓜粗纖維較多,以免消化不良。
For babies just starting solids, strain once more through cheesecloth or a fine sieve — pumpkin has a lot of coarse fibre, which can cause indigestion.
