Fresh Chinese Yam, Indian Coconut and Chestnut Soup simmers fresh yam, Indian coconut, carrot, corn, and chestnuts into a sweet, coconut-scented broth.
Rinse the chestnuts and set aside; peel and cut the carrot and Chinese yam, and cut the corn and coconut into pieces (always wear gloves when handling the yam, or it can make your skin itchy).
栗子洗淨備用,紅蘿蔔同淮山去皮切件,粟米、椰子切件備用(處理淮山時一定要戴手套,否則會皮膚痕癢)。
Once the water boils, add all the ingredients and simmer over medium heat for 5 hours. Season with a little salt at the end.
水滾後,把所有材料放進鍋裡,中火煲 5 小時,最後可加少許鹽調味。
