Homemade yakitori threads chicken thigh and scallion onto skewers, seasoned with salt and pepper and pan-seared until the edges char.
First, cut your chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces. Take the green onion and slice it into segments roughly 1 to 1 1/4 inches (or 2-3 cm) long.

Thread the chicken and green onion pieces onto skewers, alternating them as you go. Once they're all on, season them generously with salt and pepper.
將雞肉同青蔥交替串上竹籤。撒上鹽同黑椒調味。
Now, heat a small amount of oil in a skillet over medium-low to medium heat. Carefully place the skewers in the pan and cook them on both sides until done. If you want to get a lovely char, crank up the heat to high right at the end and sear them quickly. Arrange them on a plate and serve them immediately.
