Walnut Round Cookies cream butter and sugar with egg and cake flour into a log topped with chopped walnuts, chilled, sliced, and baked until crisp.
Beat the softened butter together with the sugar until pale yellow.

Beat half an egg into a liquid and pour it into the butter mixture in 2-3 additions, mixing well each time (set the other half of the egg liquid aside for later).

Add the sifted flour and mix until it forms a dough.

Shape the dough into an oval log using cling film. Brush the dough with egg liquid, press the chopped walnuts onto the surface, then wrap with cling film and freeze for 30 minutes.

Place on a baking tray and bake at 180°C for 20 minutes.
將切好的餅乾片排入烤盤中,放入預熱至180度的烤箱,烘烤約20分鐘即可。
