1 1/2 pounds pork (chops, steaks, or butt cut into thin sections – thin cuts work particularly well for this recipe)

3 sendok makan kecap ikan

3 tablespoons fish sauce

3 sendok makan gula merah

3 tablespoons brown sugar

1/2 sendok makan minyak sayur

1/2 tablespoon vegetable oil

1 sendok teh asam (jus jeruk nipis, jus lemon, cuka)

1 teaspoon acid (such as lime juice, lemon juice, or vinegar)

1 sendok makan serai cincang (opsional)

1 tablespoon diced lemongrass (optional)

2 sendok makan bawang bombay atau bawang merah cincang

2 tablespoons diced onion or shallot

3 siung bawang putih, cincang

3 cloves garlic, diced

1 buah daun bawang besar, diiris

1 large green onion, sliced
