In a bowl, combine the self-rising flour, eggs, milk, neutral oil, and salt. Stir these ingredients together until you have a smooth batter. Once the batter is ready, dip each of your apple slices into it, ensuring they are fully coated.

Heat a generous amount of oil until it's very hot. Carefully place the coated apple slices into the hot oil and fry them for a few minutes until they're golden brown and cooked through. After frying, remove the fritters and drain them well on paper towels to absorb any excess oil. While they're still warm, generously sprinkle them with granulated sugar. These are best served and enjoyed immediately!
