Plain na steamed chicken na pinahiran ng asin at mantika, pinasingawan kasama ang luya hanggang malambot, inihain kasama ang sariling katas.
Gumawa ng hiwa sa hita o sa pinakamakapal na bahagi ng nilinis na manok upang maluto at masipsip ang lasa. Pahiran ng pantay na asin, tapos isang patong ng mantika, ilagay sa angkop na mangkok at lagyan ng hiwa ng luya.
Make a cut in the thigh or the thickest parts of the cleaned chicken so it cooks through and absorbs flavour. Rub salt evenly all over, then a layer of oil, place it in a suitable bowl and add the ginger slices.
Ilagay sa steamer na may sapat na tubig, takpan ng pinggan at ng takip. Kapag umuusok na sa malakas na apoy, timinghin ng 30 minuto (gabay lang). Luto na ang manok kapag madaling pumasok ang chopstick sa hita.
Place in a steamer with plenty of water, cover with a plate and then the lid. Once steaming over high heat, time 30 minutes (for reference). The chicken is done when a chopstick slides into the thigh easily.
Kapag bahagyang lumamig, hiwain o kamay na lasagin (mas gusto ko ang kamay na pag-lasa). Isawsaw sa katas ng manok sa ilalim ng mangkok na may kaunting light soy sauce, o kainin nang plain. Malambot at makatas ang texture, simpleng paraan, sulit subukan!
Once slightly cooled, chop into pieces or hand-shred (I personally prefer hand-shredding). Dip in the chicken juices from the bottom of the bowl with a little light soy sauce, or enjoy it plain just as it is. The texture is tender and juicy, the method is simple, and it is well worth a try!
